nail in tire - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #21080 5 posts Started by Rider
Sorry, stupid question, but I don't know what to do: I drove over a curb today with my right rear tire, and when I got out to check if everything's alright, I found a nail stuck in the tire. It went in where the thread starts, alongside the tire wall. The tire looks good, it didn't lose any pressure, but this two inch nail is in it now. Should I just leave it there?
na don't leave it in.. go to a tire shope and have that taken out and patched up Asap....

if its too close to the sidewall it is non repairable, but go to a tire show and have them fix it.

if its right on the curve of the sidewall, a shop will not fix it. Atleast they won't here. I have the same thing. I pulled the nail and then used fix a flat. Works fine now. No air loss
I had a nail in my tire once. I was like, hey whats this and pulled it out. The tire started going flat as I tried desperately to put the nail back in. Did'nt work. Fix a flat made it to the shop for a patch though.
