Y0, big thanks to stanger for setting it up they're gonna look really good. Did anyone get 3m tape with theirs?... just wondering cuz I didnt, I guess Ill go pick some up this weekend, Im guessing its gonna have to be really thin??

just use elmers rubber cement. it would work much better.

they're coo...I Just need to get the RPM gauge to com down...kinda a annoying process >< i'll try again when I buy double-sided tape. I have this double-sided foam crap that sux...

I used 3M double-sided tape and it worked wonderfully.
Don't use rubber cement cause it will most likely fuk something up.

All the double sided tape I've seen is far to thick. Rubber cement is great to use. You apply it to the gauge back, then to the gauge in the car. Let them both dry, then put the new gauge on. Push it down and it won't come loose without really trying. Plus, if you make a mistake, it's an easy removal. (and it's paper thin!!!

Would if you want to remove the gauges in a copy years say because you sell your car and the new owner wants them off? thats why tape seems more practical

i used scotch tape on mine, somehow messed up my fuel gauge tho, it stays on 1/4 tank no matter what i do **shrug**

Use PRYM double sided tape for the guages, its damn near paper thin. You can find it at walmart in the arts and craft section. If your looking for a good ground for the negative wire, take the panel off thats under the steering wheel and there is a body mount to the bottom left. Now after your all said and done, use black electrical tape to wrap and cover the rear terminals of the dimmer control. If you don't then get ready for a good zapping if you press your finger back there, beleive me I was driving when I touched it >> . Hoope this helps all >>

where did you run the positive wire too?... Im at a loss on where that goes so that they work like the old gauges. or will both be running together, meaning do I not disconnect the original dimmer?.... need help... thanks

Just strip the positive a little and pull out the tail light fuse (aka parking lights)put the exposed wire in and then reinsert the fuse. Done deal. About the stock dimmer, leave it there. It still controls all the other panel lights and with the guages installed you won't be able to see the stack lights. Plus it lights up the needles and odometer.

Thanks dude, so this fuse is in the panel left of the steering column?... and Im guessing Im pinching the wire into the the socket with the fuse, thats a neat idea. LoL, how long did it take you guys to get these babies in?, cuz my GF is visiting and I dont want to take too much time away from her, but I want them in my damn car, LoL, thanks again

Took me about a 1 1/2 hrs. Only because I wanted to make sure everything was perfect and I really coudn't find a good ground that satisfied me. Eventually I did, but key thing is to take your time.

If I had to do it again... 15 Minutes. Technically.... it took me two days. The engine temp gauge stuck and I had to go back in and fix it. Just wire the positive to the positive wire of the dimmer. It's closer and much easier. You can ground them anywhere you want. I was going to use the steering column bolt or the gas pedal bolt. I got lazy though and wired them both to the dimmer. Here is the wiring:

First wire is green, second is grey with a green stripe, third is grey and black.

Green is the Positive, grey with green stripe is the variable that will smoke your gauges, grey and black is the ground.

Easy as can be, and it takes no time at all.

yay, I got mine in.... they look sweet, however when I turn them on blue the transformer whines??? Anyone got any ideas?....

haha, get louder exhaust like me. >> Mine don't get real blue anyway.
