Photoshop Request - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #21316 15 posts Started by jgreening
I am doing some exterior mods and a full paint job in the coming weeks and I am still up in the air on changing colors. Can someone do a photoshop for me? What I would like to see is the car with SS-III front splitters, a GT4 hood vent, and Z-glyde skirts. I would like to see the car in Porsche's seal grey metalic with a black hood vent and my intercooler still in black (cant really see it in this picture anyway). I know this might take some time and I really appreciate the effort.

Here is a picture of my car and the porsche color I am considering:

just curious, was someone able to do this for Jay?
not yet....I need to take a class or something. Its a difficult program to learn from just reading about it.

Sorry Jay, I can't do it to your car. Blacks almost impossible to change color with in photoshop. I'm gonna try it on my car, and failing that, probably celicabuddy's car tho.

I'll let you know.
Cool. Thanks Sean.

Here you go, I can't get the exact color, and can't duplimate the metallic sheen, but.. here's what a sligh blue/grey celica looks like:

is this a little closer? the metallic reflectivety of that porsche color is HARD

not even close? its actually the exact same shade of grey >frown.gif> (RGB wise).. just no metallic sheen; and we can't color the reflections right

As close as i could....... but it is really hard to make color look pearl on the picture... It still too grey / blue... but its really hard to make it look right.....

And shin, your color is not even close for sure... Its too blue / magenta, the porsh color is green / grey / light blue mix... If you dont belive me, pics both colors and compare them in Photoshop color picker.

Jay I really wouldn't let the photoshopped pictures discourage you. they look like primer next to the actual Porsche color. but on the other hand I wouldn't color change unless you feel that you really need to, its expensive and its never going to look completely factory no matter what anyone else says
Thanks Pieter. I love everything about black except keeping it clean. I was thinking that maybe a metalic grey would look nice and maybe it would be allright. Although not perfect, the photoshops do help me decide that I wouldn't be happy with the color change and it would be much more expensive that way. Keeping her black means that I do not have to do anything with the door jams, trunk, doors, engine compartment, etc. I am going for a full paint job to address the minor imperfections that bug me. I am really picky. In the end, keeping her black just means that I wash it more which I enjoy anyway.
