Im took off my valve cover tonight. There was some sticky black stuff t hat was also at the corners and down the edges. I ddin't buy this stuff, and I am thinking that I should. What is it exactly? Cause I don't want oil leaking out.

silicon (sp ) just go into any auto parts store... they have it right under or next to were they have the gaskets... (well all the stores around here do ) .... if u have trouble finding it just ask so one at the store... it u comes in an aluminu tube like tooth past .. and its usally blue .... and smell like some really funky period soked panties... ...

oh and remeber to wash ur hands right after ... cause that stuff can get really mess if u don't get it off while its still wet...
