sorry supersprynt, I'm not explaining that well.

Yes, you can get money just for watching. Get a good car and race with the b-spec (the option to the right of starting the race) then just tell the driver to go fast and overtake. He'll do the racing for you while you go for a smoke. Then come back and you'll have a couple grand (depending on what you raced and how well the guy did racing for you) It's kinda a cheap way to play, but the upside is that you can do that on races that you do not a the license to race yourself.

i have no interest in ps2....

however i have a psp preordered (along with dw, tm, and rengoku) which is getting its own version of gt4 (graphics are almost as good but better yet can we say widescreen?)

Despite never driving in AutoX or any of that, I found this effect to be a lot more realistic. It felt RIGHT somehow

(and yeah, you can pretty much just make money by watching)

Is it just me or does it seem in every race one car is way ahead of the pack, and much harder to beat then the rest of the field?

the physics are much more realistic, and in turn, you have to want to get good at this game... makes friends of mine way less inapt to play, and to a degree, myself... i dont want to have to play the same track 3 times to finaly win against that 1 super good car

what are the points used for?

Shid- I still havent been able to defeat the autosave... if you remove your mem. card and try to either buy or switch vehicles, it wont let you drive them...

most of the cool tracks have to be earned in Arade mode- And how i dont know >>

i cant STAND the layout of the menu system...

ehh... the more I play the less im thrilled so far... i just want that damn lancia stratos, lol...

ok on that i know what you mean. out of 5 races 2 i couldnt win because of that one car. so buy something for horsepower and you will win i would have to go back and beat that 1 car.

bragging rights, they mean nothing. and in a race that say u use a 100 hp car against other 100 hp cars you will get more points then using a 300 hp car.

um after races wheni return to the map it tells me i have unlocked maps. Im 15% through and unlocked almost 75% of the arcade race courses. just need to get the rally races and im done, with that.

I got a beef with this game too! I am trying this supercar competition and it says only production cars. So I race with my vanquish, and am blown away by the cadilac cien. So I was like ok, I'll just use my cien, and it tells me I can't use that car because its not a production model car. THats messed up, if your gonna beat me with that car, you gotta let me use it if I have it also.

i played it over at my brother's place...meh. i'm not impressed to be quite honest...after playing it as his place, i'm definately not spending 50 bucks on it anytime soon...

this reminds me of Halo2, and what i heard about it...seemed like it was hyped up, but wasn't as magnificent as everyone expected.

Is it just me or is it really hard to get sideways now in this game? I've tinkered with all the settings and i still cant seem to maintain drifts like how i did i GT3... It's frustrating

no its not just u, gt4 is horrible for drifting/ doughnuts. you cant even do one. then when you drift traction control and over/understeer must be turned off but the car really wont drift too well.

mostly turn your front camber up to like a 4 and put your rear at 0 and you will be able to drift the best cause your car will be hard to turn therfore stoping you from doing a 180.

also nitrous helps get your tail end out if your having problems getting sideways.

Just got the game & wow, I feel so nubish right now with the new physics lol. This game is just awesome >> I chicken'd out & traded over 100g's (credits for those that might get smart >>) to get a Spoon Civic Type-R, I'll probably mess with it & then start fresh once I get the hang of the game, I cant wait for online!

i figured the lotus maxed out would be able to at least pass the Pro Tuned cars on the straight, but nope...
it was just a bit disappointing.

what kind of tires do I need to get so my car won't turn like crap at the end of a 3 lap race. Im really tired of all my tires turning green in the middle of the 2nd lap. HELP!!

but the ones that go VROOOOM

my breaks still seem to suck on the lotus, i get a turn warning, lay on em and downshift w/ it, but sometimes just go sailing through the turn still...

the comps tap their brakes while i have to lay on em.

green on the wheels is good.

when they are blue that means they are fresh and dont run as well untill they are warmed up and worn in, green is the best, yellowish is good, and when they start getting orangy/red its time to change.

When i finish a race and it lists the people, on my 70inch tv it jitters a bit and sometimes in the middle of play but i though it was just tv size and amount of stuff on the disk.

i have the same fuzzy screen problem w/ a 42" widescreen hi-def via the standard analog output... i wonder if it is fixed with the HD cables... or if it still fuzzes out sometimes.

hahaha no pali, its a glitch sony or whoever made the game already stated that. they just didnt feel like fixing it because they would push the release date back farther and it doesnt affect game play.
