I have been studying hard after i bought a crashed GT as a donor car for my ST 7A-FE. The guy i bought it off did not have clue about it other than he said it was awesomely fast, and his daddy bought it for him and it was the second one he had crashed.

Well i am in the process of fitting this engine into my car and cannot wait to feel the difference.

heres the problem or just for piece of mind! The guy i got it off said it leaves all other 6G celicas for dead less the GT4 even ones that claimed to be 175 BHP. He had drag raced it against them after they boasted about performance (Dont we all)

So could it be a superstut or a beams engine if so HOW CAN I TELL other than driving it and getting it on a dyno

I really am excited about getting this in the car! oh yeh can anybody send me a pic of a 3SGE engine timing cover side, in the car so i can compare as this one was a little damaged and i have no pictures to compare to.

all your amazing help and advice is sought and greatly appreciated

just take a pic of the motor. ill tell you what it is.

is it looks like mine? if it's not then it's not a BEAMS. check out members profiles and find out by your self what engine you have.....

But how do I tell if its got superstrut or not

I just need a pic to compare to for when i have fitted it in tellling me exactly what each part is cos
a) i can't remember
and
b)it'd help!

also with the engine mountings i read previously that you have to change one for the 7a-fe engine to 3s-ge engine- which one before i actually swap the engines?

superstrut is the kind of our suspension and has nothing to do with the engine!!!!!!! is yor engine 1998cc?

does anyone know how much a sump retails for?

Do you have an SS or an ST205? If not you dont have a superstrut.

fella !

there should be a number on the engin block that give yo the engin number.... but it's in a different place on all blocks.....

sorry your'll have to look or get some photos on here....
