What is the next project you want to do? - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #22194 34 posts Started by chucho
I want to find me a 92-96 5spd camry. And spray it jet black. Tint limo all around. Throw some nice black rims on it. Tint the rear lights. Lowering springs and stiffen susp. Then do the all famous 3sgte swap. Would definitely be the fastest camry in my area. O'yeah I'm gonna de-badge it and probably get a 2 door camry.

Or....

93-97 corolla 5spd, either white or black.

Tom's body kit all around. Custom hi-flo exhaust. Rebuild 7afe, w/ low compression pistons. Then get a corolla turbo kit. all greddy turbo accs. Some Tom's lowering springs, and nice 6 spoke silver rims.
Are you ditching your Celica? I'd only want one car that I pour money into. >wink.gif>

New Toyota project coming soon...
nah, i'm curently looking for a 5sp 92-96 camry 2dr. Hard to find unless I want to drive over 300 miles lol.

But I'll probably buy one in the summer.
my project would be.. to complelely gut the celica.. make it as light as possible. Removing the skin on the roof and replacing it with carbon fiber. Pretty much attempt to replicate a csl m3 bmw. PLexi glass windows, carbon fiber hood. ect ect.

Future plans... split between a S13, AW11, 1st Gen Celica, or EK hatch Civic. If S13... I'd want to go either RB or Neo SR20. If AW11, gotta 4AGTE, if 1st gen Celica, gotta do a 3SGE or 20/22R hybrid, and/or if Civic, gotta do K20A/2...

I will probably get the new convertible IS300 when it comes out in 2006 or 2007 as my daily driver.

QUOTE(lagos @ Jul 10, 2006 - 1:55 PM) i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.
if i really get bored, i'll get the AE92 back from my brother, and toss in an AE101 4AGZE. otherwise, soon after i get a real job after school, or here in the next couple of months, i'll invest in a used IS300...

i haven't decided if imma dump the celica or not...it's paid for, so it won't be that much of a drain on me, but...it'd be at least a couple thousand to put down on the IS...

Well as far as my Celica goes, I'm still working on the motor swap (getting parts and what not). Next week is my spring break and my little projects will include tinting my windows (mirrored) and further insulating my interior with dynamat.

If I could get my hands on an s14, I'd be a happy camper!
finish up the celi, paint and finally put on kit.

future: i was going to get a fast 4 door car, but changed my mind i'm looking at probably getting a 2004 or 05 v8 4runner white with sport package and if i get this i can keep the celi as well.

If you can find one, go for a 92-93 Camry SE V6 5-speed Sedan. Most were Black as far as I can remember. Rare, but once in a long while you can find one. I have a '96 V6 (1MZ-FE) 4-speed auto. I love my Camry, and I found out on Saturday (Thanks to Mac) That it handle's VERY VERY well at 125mph. I plan to build mine as a sleeper, >wink.gif> No one will expect a '96 Camry with stock 15's and no body kit to have 240HP. Especially since I took the V6 badge off.
For me, as I was telling the Kwanzmeister, I have been wanting a street bike like mad lately. I don't like the dangerousness of them though... too many posible screwups can hurt you too bad. SO, I want the next best thing: An AW11 Mr2

For it I would either re-build the blue top or drop in a small port. Upon that I would install a easy going turbo kit and boost that jule up to about 200whp. I would also gut the beast and replace all the body i could with fiberglass. Build the suspension and re-do the brakes.

We're talkin about a serious little rocket that could surprise a few here. >wink.gif>
well, depending on how much i make out of school... ill either:

1) Trade the Celi in for a new G35 or whatever Toyota equivilent
2) Keep Celi and get an SC300. Work on one while i drive the other, and back and forth like that.

Its Orville's Celica, i just drive it...
1) put the kit ive had it my closet for months on the celi. paint the damn car.

2) buy a wrx

older Suburu Impreza RS converted to a jdm 22B...my dream
Next project is to get my Celica upto 450BHP (crank)
When i pay the celica off, im getting a Lexus GS 300. If i sell the celica, im getting a G35.
but right now im looking into turboing my 93 Probe GT.

oh yea forgot you had that probe. hows that going? post some pics up.
Geo Storm GSi, with the 1.8. Turbo charge it, and attempy the AWD conversion (It has been done). Then fit it with leather covered racing seats, and a nice dash with things that work. Tint the windows. And paint it different colors so it looks like crap on the outside.

you know... the 91ish GSI's used the toyota 4age small port. >wink.gif>
I'm currently saving to get a GT4 imported. Then I'm gonna go all out. My friend met someone in biloxi who can get cars from japan into the us and legalize them (don't know how legal, we'll see). If anyone else is interested in importing a car I can call him for you to see exactly what he can do. He said he could get any make or model and is currently importing an r32 whch is costin him $7500.

No they didn't. Maybe the Prizem did. That was the same car as the Corolla. The 90-93 GSi's used an Isuzu motor. The same motor that is in the Impulse. The engine is both NA and turbo'd in the Impulse. The turbo models came with AWD. Kind of related, the 87-89 Impulses used the same engine(I think same engine) mounted front to back, and had RWD turbo model. I'm really surprised you don't see more of these modifyed, I guess it's because they're really rare.

lol, I'm a moron. I saw Geo, GSI, and implied interest in the same sentence and assumed it was the same car.. I guess it's because I always thought, "man, that would be a hell of a sleeper"

I'll probably just do little **** to the celica from here on in. I'm tempted to go back to nitrous. But I'd rather save my cash for a bike.

If I were to do a car, I'd be interested in an MKIII supra. Or my fav, an RX7 FC w/ an LS1....yeah....ok now I have to talk about the FC.

Nitrous
kyb agx w/ eibach springs
recaros, sparco steering wheel
Adavan 3 spokers, black spokes w/ red lip
brembo rotors, ebc greenstuff pads, braided lines
Odds are, the paint would be ****. So I'd probably just end up rattle canning her flat black.
Really, it'd be fast enough for my taste stock. The 75shot (100 for track, maybe even 150, the ls1 can take it) would just be for the freaks who are sub12s. It's just need some better brakes and suspension to make it fun. And that interior's so fugly, I think seats and a wheel would dress it up. Since it'd be flat black, it would be a great sleeper, escailly w/ the wheels, people would just think I'm a ricer...till they wondered why it sounds like a camaro.

besides what I currently have going on, (over 2k in parts sitting in my room) I plan on re-doing my trunk, and using all 3 of my subs, and getting a 2nd smaller amp. I want to make a fiberglass "wrap around" enclose to replace my fiberglass left side enclosure. but its a wase off, I just wana get my current stuff done.
