looks dont really mean anything, if you go by looks then you wont be too happy.. i personally am not a fan of Kenwood, but i do know that their Kenwood Excelon series isnt bad. although for that price you can pick up a nice Alpine or Clarion, maybe an Eclipse..

i bought an alpine receiver new for that price...mine looks so much better with tons more functions...
