MAP Question - 6G Celicas Forums

OK since no one decided to answer my last question, I have another, I have a MAP issue going on with the sensor and its screwing my car up, NOW when i bought my turbo kit I recieved a black box thats supposed to be a MAP sensor of some sort, now im not sure if its to replace it or not....its got

Red : +5v
Black: Ground
Green: Not Used
White: MAP pressure signal IN
Blue: MAP pressure signral OUT

NOW the instructions :
"CUT MAP PRESSURE WIRE, CONNECT WHITE WIRE IN AND BLUE WIRE OUT"

Does this completely replace the old unit or is it just a piggyback.............. anyone have pics of what exactly its replacing, or how its installed or where?

I never cut or spliced any wires. Theres a connector on the part.

Bottom end of the map sensor had an open port for the Vac line.
Side end of sensor had the same connector as my 5SFE stock map.

Basically just unplugged both, and plugged them into the new 2 bar sensor. Sounds like you have something different. Post some pics.

dude you have a supra one. wrong map. get a mr2 one or all trac one they'll both work. or if your goin piggy back just get a cheap 3 bar GM one.

Im a bit confused, can someone take a pic of the MAP for me on the stock ST, a frikin dealership couldnt describe it because the pic they had sucked, so if anyone could, please post a pic.
