let me say that this is the best handling cars that i have ever gotten to drive omg. it even beat the mclaren in the solomn
What McLaren? What Slolom? What are you talking about?

Whats under the hood? Turbo?

Details Details Details!

Is that a painted carbon hood?
that's the 170hp turbo version right?
I love those mazdaspeeds! When it came out, that was suppose to be the best handeling car with 4 doors sold in the US.

Its Orville's Celica, i just drive it...
I still see no details wtf?

170 hp 2.0ltr turbo with a miniature intercooler. Hella nice Tokico suspension set up.(basically a aftermarket suspension kit) from factory. 0-60in the 7's, 1/4 in the 15's.

I seem to remember it being tested by motor trend against the SRT-4.

"big power Vs. great handling on the track"

End result "Rompin stompin SRT torque makes this neon hard to pass up"

The SRT stomped it on the trac. The Mazdaspeed does have hella nice suspension though... but for two grand, the celica could Easily have better.

I'd personally have opted for a Hyundai GT-V6 6 spd, or a WRX, or even a GT-S celica over the mazda though,..
Well WTF is he talking a bout a McLaren for?

mazdaspeed protege is nice. 17" rims stock, turbo charged and wishone suspension if i'm not wrong. pretty nice interior.. my friend owns one too. but it's in orange.. the soon to be launched mazdaspeed6 is gonna be hot too. >biggrin.gif> yea... but like what supersprynt said... what about the mclaren?

Turbo install made possible thanks toTeamJ.D.M.officially 5SFTE junior member~*MuH NeW RiDe*~

as i said before it beat the mclaren in the solomn. stock... ya think about that... now my friend and i threw jic full coilover suspension on it and it frickin kicks azz. if you guys ever get a chance to test drive one uhmm definately go for it. uhmm let me see what else i know they run 5.9 psi of boost stock and i've seen em boosting 15 before on stock internals. the car was completly designed by racing beat. it has a stage 1 act clutch in it and basically they took the 2.0 motor and slapped a turbo on it.. literally. their known for blowing though cuz the internals suck but with 500 bucks you can purchase a new set of forged rods and no worries.

i dunno the race was just a test i don't think it was ever broadcasted but my friend said that it beat the mclaren.. which one i dunno know.. i'll ask though
...anyways nice car! and I always liked those mazdaspeeds whether it be a protoge, miata,... or soon to be rx-8 >smile.gif>
the slalom speed on these cars is crazy. they have, as he and I said, the best stock suspension available on a sub $50k car. (being very general here) theya are also hella light, so they run like a go-cart through the cones.

Thats the exact reason I didn't get this car. Working for Mazda and Nissan I was faced with the decision of the Mazdaspeed Protege or the Sentra SpecV. Protege was great and handled extremely well... but the engine was at its max. Couldn't due much more than stock.... whereas the SpecV wasn't even tapped. With the new QR25DE that replaced the classic SR20DE(T) engine, the 2.5L is just on its way to legendary status. Plus Nissan bound way way too much HP in the intake and exhaust. Hell I/E/H will free up about 25WHP. The mazdaspeed is no longer being made as well. Meaning parts will be far and few between in a couple years. The QR25 is now Nissan's new baby. Overall both cars were great, but I made my decision.

Oh yea I sell Dodge/Chrysler as well. Screw the Neon. Sure its 230 HP. But lets go through the numbers...
1. Can I hear Torque Steer

2. Maybe Dodge didn't think LSD was that big, because the stock LSD SUCKS - wheelspin city

3. Yes thats right, Interior by Rubbermaid.

4. Boy, most companies work hard on saving weight. Not Dodge, lets put dual 3"!!! exhaust on the car, figuring its massively huge V8... wait... its a 4-cyl.

5. Again, when most compaines plant a nice 6-spd in their cars (Sentra, Civic Si, SVT Focus) - Dodge with the most power will stick the the standard Neon 5-spd.

And I sell these things.......... (slaps forehead)
