i have heard stock 7th gen rotors will fit the 6th gen gt in the front...will the 7th generation Brembo Big Brake Sport Kit fit the 6th generation st front?

yes they should. I believe I even saw a member with them, but I can't remember who it was

I have heard the same thing. I wouldn't doubt it... The thing is, you would probably need a meaner master cylinder to properly take advantage of them. Also, if you have a ST that means you have drums in the back. i'd take care of that first. 2k in front brakes and 50's tech in the back doesn't match up.

I personally used the rear brakes off of a 5th gen GTS. I heard they had larger calipers, but i really doubt it. >> The only sad thing is my front brakes are the same size as the back... as far as rotors at least, lol

The 7th gen brakes are suppose to fit exactly. I havent seen anyone with them, so i dont know for sure, but this was found out by spedtoe169 so thats a pretty reliable source. the original thread is here:

I have an stock ST but all wheels have disk brakes. Maybe because I live in Europe?

Yeah, all sixth generation Celicas outside of North America got disc brakes all around, even the STs.

ok i saw this on tv so....

they put 2 sets of front brakes kits on this car for the front and back brakes its a neat idea but expensive

so this is my thought gts oem front brakes with calipers in the back and new big brake kit in the front what do you think?

if that work... it'll definitely be sweet.

What do you do about an e-brake if you do that? And the front brake setup is way different then the rear brake setup.

It only works on some cars. Basically they use a different caliper and rotor and a conversion like this will be 99% for looks. Oh yeah... you'll also lose the e-brake... =[

My cousin totalled his evo and the back calipers bolt up to our rear knuckles and they are bigger than our front brakes the only problem is the diameter of the rotor isn't big enough. the pad sticks off the endge of the rotor barely, so I need to either find some larger rotors that will work or find somewhere to have some made

Thats pretty cool. But kind of worthless unless the rotor is bigger, correct? Would the evo rotor fit the car? What cars have the same size wheel spacing?

Well it still works. I have the evo calipers on the back right now and they work well, the pad just barely hangs off, but I would rather find a little bigger rotors just to be safe
