anybody know how to take off the toyota symbol emblems and put them back on.. "Clean" w/o scratching car.. or having ugly glue oozing out..

my plan is the get some gunmetal.. or black toyota symbol.. or just have mine painted... the chrome just looks blah.. on a black car IMO

any ideas?.. anybody done this?..

i know i sound like a noob.. but i wanna do it myself and not take it somewhere.. and pay unecessary money for labor on something i can do

you could try using a fishing line, slide it in between the sign and the car...my friend has tried it and it came out good except the ulgy, sticky tape that was on it... you would have to use a card like a ID card or any card and carefully scrape it off...or use something else to get it out...

heat up the old adhesive and use a fishing line under the emblem. use some rubbing alchohol to get rid of the residue, just be sure to clean it off after

oops sry to be misunderstood.. i accidently typed emblems.. but i am soley talking about the round emblems on the hood and the trunk.. the sybols.. not the words..

any ideas.. will it be hard.. sine there are holes that it fits into..

I would buy new emblems mod them and replace, or u can do what Ghost_dog was saying just make sure when u take it off u clean old residue, spray your emblem then reatach using glue or somthing.

to remove old adhesive off paint safely use "3m adhesive remover". find it @ autozone.....ect. WAL-MART cheapest price....

i painted my rear toyota emblem red, and just left it on the car. i used a small brush, just be careful. and i left the front one chrome. just leave the emblem on its easier
