big wheels make our cars look like 4x4's? - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #23002 15 posts Started by Mike
I'm in the process of buying the erebuni 404 kit and some 17" wheels with new rubber on 'em. I was wondering if the 17" wheels will make my car look like an off-roader even with the bodykit on because my car's at stock ride height

do you guys think i should get coilovers too?

Id say lower it. at least get some sportlines. It will look so much better. I hate seeing cars with after market wheels and not being lowerd, it looks goofy.

It doesnt look to high, but I hate large wheel gap.
I see that blood also has an airhorn - might wanna put that somewhere so that it doesnt stick out like a sore thumb.

I say get some lowering springs or coilovers to go along with it. Everytime you post a pic thats the most common comment.

I cant stand the wheel gaps and a good set of springs don't run that much. Trust me. it makes a big difference (cleaner)
i own a 4x4. check the profile.

itchy, I know I probably make the 100th person to tell you but your car is begging to be lowered, I know you bought the tein s. When you put them on the car is going to look tight. Don't get me wrong your car is still sick, but it wont be mistaken for a rally car anymore.
Drop it like its hot

I went with 18" and think it looks good. I also went with the SSII's. My Car with 18's
I am looking at bringing the back up a little and possibly looking at bring the rims closer to the fender in the back with some offset or spacers.

if you aren't lowering I would go with 18s. they tend to make the gap look smaller, take a look at lil_lisa's car for example

yea i also went with 18's but this also means that you will be running on rubber bands...a little annoying.
If you can get 26s, you can get the best of both worlds, be like a suv or suc. Why limit yourself to the street if you can go 4x4. Think about, your car would have no limits. >owned.gif>
