My brother got one about a year ago and it was $120 off of ebay. I went looking, and the cheapist i could find new were around $155 or so.. including shipping.
Got mine from Sears, $142 - $5 when you bring back your battery so like $137.
dont buy these off ebay. i bought my redtop from pepboys and if anything happens to the battery in the next 3 years, i just bring it to any store and get a free replacement. not something thats really possible to do with an online store, and god knows how much shipping cost on a heavy battery.

on a realated note, anyone know why the terminals on optimas are reversed? i bought a redtop for my moms matrix but couldnt use it because the cables wouldnt reach.

I put my brothers yellow top in my car until i get money.. but it didnt fit right, i have it on its side and it barley works.. how you guys fit it??
I have a red top, which was more expensive than the yellow, and it only cost me $130 at PepBoys.

this is what happens when your little brother is better at photoshop than you are
the red top costs more because it has more cold cranking amps then the yellow top.

That makes more sence, i guess i was refering to better for my car an my needs.. which would be more elctronics and a system.

thanks for clarifying
some places wont cover warranty if you use a yellowtop under the hood... id personally run a redtop under the hood and a yellow top for the system... either way Optima batteries are the way to go for car audio i personally think... Stinger has some alright ones im told, i havent used one though.

There are a number of new batteries out there jus for high powered systems. Some of them are very expensive. I don't know if they have any advantage over the optimas. I would think they do, since optima as the standard they all aim for.
