newbie treatment - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #23064 10 posts Started by nik
I started to notice that alot of the newer memebers are asking asking questions about very simple things

EXAMPLE

I'm just using this as an example its a dumb question to those of us who have been here for a few years but to that new person it is important.

It was a good question....BUT got out hand after a few post

this is just like when people ask 3sgte swap stuff (kicking a dead horse)

To the newbies out there try the search button look around in the how to sections there is alot of info on here some not really orginized but on here if you look

IF you post a question try and be clear on what you are looking for.....

Older members try not to flame them at first try and help or dont post
posting "use the search" button is both good and bad I'm no saint i've posted use the search button a few times to newbies.

i just want this site to be helpful and have some tolerence to a point

yea your 3sgte is cool but ill stick to my 7agte
Newbies must be roughed up.....its part of the rules! I try and be nice too. I invite newbies all the time from cardomain
I usually answer their questions with links to other posts were their question has been covered - just like in the "example" you posted. I read the board everynight and I have seen many posts about the same stuff. I just try to point them in the right direction.

I'm nice unless im flabbergasted at something where I just cant be. Oh well. This is the way of the forum and theres a certain hazing you gotta go through so that you know how it works.
