hey guys check this out..

a mid engine integra.

honda tec

look at these honda guys doing crazy swaps.

yet most of us are complaining about awd conversion and 3sgte swaps..

Crazy!

The rear fenders remind me of a sixth gen now that they're widened. >tongue.gif>

waste of time and money

Agreed, but as long as it isn't my money, I love watching these things

NASA/SCCA RX-7....currently under the knife92 Civic hatch B16 - Sold10th anniv RX-7 - RIPThe Slow Celica - Sold...and then crushed crushed due to street racing.Quote from Seinfeild: George's Boss reading a magazine: "People magazine's most beautiful people. Oh and a Celica...nothin wrong with that!"
Waste of time and money? That project seems like it's not that expensive, since he's doing it all himself, and it'll be a one-of-a-kind car once it's done.

And I doubt he considers it a waste of time, since it's something he loves to do. I certainly wouldn't consider it a waste of time. I'd consider just sitting here reading through that thread more of a waste of time than actually building something amazing.

yea, I have seen a northstar V8 in a 1st gen MR2. That could also be considered a waist.,.. but not by me. That car the guy is building here (while not balanced by any means) is gonna be a trip to drive.
well he did buy two cars for this project and i'm sure he'll requires more parts, he's just not paying for labor but its not a waist IMO

can always add counter weight to the right locations to get the perfect 50/50 weight distribution front rear and left right... then this car would be a monster among children

understeer.... no probably not tail happy yes. but this guy has some skills and no matter how much shift they get i give the honda crowd a lot of respect >smile.gif>
i'm saying understeer because a MR del sol had horrible understeer. to the point where it was dangerious. I'm just wondering if this will be the same .

Del Sol's are front engine front drive, aren't they? The only RWD cars honda makes are the NSX and S-2000.

Man you've got to love them Honda guys. I'd trade my celica for a Prelude, Hach Si, or Integra of equal value in a second.

I think he's talking about one of the Del Sols that was converted to mid-engine and rear-wheel drive. >wink.gif>

this is impressive... >biggrin.gif>

Turbo install made possible thanks toTeamJ.D.M.officially 5SFTE junior member~*MuH NeW RiDe*~
Del Sols are FF. The only exception I know of is the Top Fuel Del Sol, which was MR with a turbo B18, IIRC. Very, very nice install, no idea about the handling though.
i seen that nortstar in a pontiac fiero.. pretty nice...

Well. hes gunna need LOTS of advil..
LOTS of money
and LOTS of time..

can anyone agree with that?
by time that cars done.. in all what did it cost him , about 60 grand?

Nope. He's doing it himself and their Honda parts, so it's cheap. He injoyes it, so the advil won't be needed. And if he injoys it, the time will fly. So even though it may take awile to do, it's a hobby, and it's suposed to take up time.

Someone on Honda-Tech recently converted one to a MR setup...tube frame front end and a cage and such. It was pretty crazy.

I doubt that...he's probably under $10,000 right now...probably a lot less than that at this point actually. He's fabricating everything himself, and the two cars used are a wrecked Prelude and a theft recovery Integra GS-R, which were probably both fairly cheap.

New Toyota project coming soon...
what kind of drive train is he using? obviously he is going all out. which means his engine alone has to have about 8 10 grand invested, roll bard up kitted up nos..ed upand watever the hell else this guy does is gunna be pretty.. plus he ISNT doning it all by himself.. im sure he has help in which he is paying for.. specialists.. MISTAKES cost money.. for all we know he might not even finish that thing...

good idea = yes cool, if it works and comes out good ,, excellent

would i do it? f*k no..
i would have done a supra rear conv.

my pops did a c4 conv. on a 66 nova it came out hot and that alone was CRAZYness doing with him

Which drivetrain as in which tranny? I'm pretty sure he's using the tranny that came with the H22.

Where do you get the 8-10 grand for the engine? It's a stock H22 from the wrecked Prelude, which will probably be upgraded in time, sure, but a H22 still is a pretty quick motor.

The car doesn't have a kit and most of the nice cars on Honda-Tech don't...I have a feeling that this one won't, and I doubt he'll run nitrous on the motor.

He's probably got people around to help, but they're probably friends and such, not hired help. He seems to have all the knowledge required to do this project.

New Toyota project coming soon...
So were can we see the finished product? I'd love to see this car in action. The thought of it gives me goose bumbs, especailly when I think of the possability of running a turbo on this thing.
