i think video games are overrated either way. no way I would spend $250 on it ^_^, maybe if i stole one... err found it. it is pretty cool tho.

found out it can NOT play burned discs. And its in Minidisc format. So all in all - a waste of money.

picture quality is crap on the ds compared to the psp.
the ds claims 3d grasphics but comes up short with graphics comparable to nintendo 64. You have to use a light pen to control on a touch screen which makesgame play dragging and awkward. Sony's hand held consule is on a whole other level with real 3d graphics, easier controls, one large screen that displays more vividly than two, and it plays movies, music, and donloads pictures from a digital camera... So let me think.

yeah whoever said PSP graphics suck apparently hasn't played it the graphics are incredible and it put the ds to shame, i'ld get one if i had the money to spend on it right now, mabey it'll come down after i get throught with buying all the stuff for my car well the stuff for the swap and stuff from viz anyways, i'll never stop spending money on the celi

it uses UMD's. eventually there will be a disc burning drive for the computer so that it can become mainstream like the compact disc, but until then, there are no blank UMD's to burn. but it will accept burnt UMD's once there are some.

My bad... I didn't mean MD format (MiniDisc). I was just referring to the size of the discs themselves. Like Gamecube and PSP games are mini-sized when compared to normal PS games. Since the PSP is in Mini format (mini-sized), it cannot physically play standard DVD's. And it cant play burned discs. So all in all, its way impractical. You can only play and watch SONY games and SONY repackaged DVD's. Weak.

And yes, Sony want to control the format of the distribution of the media you use. You don't know what you want, they do.

i have both and really love the psp more. the only thing that i do not like about the DS is the fact that the games that came out since the release of the ds are either kid like games or they just suck. there are games like mario that i really like though.

about it not taking regular sized discs, i'm glad they don't. the point of the psp (Play Station Portable) is its portability, its made small for a reason and thats what makes it so good. and i think thell make blank ones one day, they didn't have blank DVDs when they first came out did they, no.
