sideskirts or not? - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #2321 7 posts Started by coustoe
Been looking round on the road and other peoples car in this forum. Kinda puzzled dont know what it is but ive noticed some cars look really good without the sideskirts and some look like crap, Maybe this is a combination of how big the rims are, how low the vehicle is, size of the spoiler or the front bumper. Any ideas?
Side skirts make the car look so clean. If I did nothing else I would at least get side skirts.. >biggrin.gif>
Def. skirts! >smile.gif>

After I got mine installed I'm def. pleased with my decision. I just think that it completes the look of the car.....aside from a full kit.
Go for the side skirts. If you have more money left go for the full kit. I just got mine setup. You can look at my profile for the pics.
side skirts are definately a must.

note, if you plan on going witht the erebuni 404 style or the vis zepher look at the body kit sticky at the top of this forum. despite the fact that the two styles look the same, there are differences

I agree with everyone else - skirts are essential 6gc equipment >biggrin.gif>

They help make the car look lower from the side (profile view) and when combined with a front and rear spoiler kit or replacement bumpers, give a professional, completed look to a car (IMHO of course).

The reason some cars look good with skirts, and some not-so-good, may be because of the huge range of different styles of skirts out there, even skirts that are supposed to be replicas of the standard toyota skirts turn out to have slightly different styling. Along with that, some skirts are bolted on, whereas others are molded on then painted - giving a smoother look.

In the end I guess it comes down to personal preference - I used to like the veilside type skirts, but where I live it seems every one in five import cars I see has them, so I've become more of a fan of the molded, more subtle look now. >smile.gif>
I wonder what company makes the best replica of the OEM skirt.
