Sideskirts - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #23274 27 posts Started by lil_lissa
hey guys. So i decided on getting the front and rear splitters for my drop top. Now what i wanted your opinions on was what sideskirts would look best. Ghostdogs car looks sick with the oem skirts but i have heard they are hard to find - is that true or is there an easy place i could search for them. The other skirts i was thinking of were the erebuni 404 skirts, however ive been told that erebuni fitment is crap.

so, now i need some opinoins on which ones would look good with these splitters. I dont really like the TRD sides. i like the simplicity of the erebuni sides. I know i know theres the bodykit guide, i just wanted to see if you guys had any suggestions and also i'd really appreciate any advice on which skirts tend to have the best bang for their buck, and the best fitment.

thanks a tonnnn >smile.gif>

There oem skirts m8 , i put them on my car and love the simple look, there made from plastic as well so no issues with cracking if you hit something >biggrin.gif>

Just keep your eye open and look around. Id also give some junkyards a call, i have seen a pair at one junkyard, but when i came back the next day with money one was cracked in half. >frown.gif>
stock sideskirts are your only option with the ss3 splitters imo. otherwise the sides are gonna be substantially lower than the front or rear, which will look strange

also seems like the stock sides might require modification to fit a vert according to madmods. that sort of negates the perfect fitament advantage. maybe you should stick with your current vert sides and just have them painted
Luckily I can help you guys looking for stock side skirts. I found them for sale here a while back but totally forgot about it until now.

Hope that helps you guys. >wink.gif>

Hi m8 , my cars a 94 so i didn't have any of the fixing points for all the clips and stuff, all my body shop did was screw them underneath and at ether wheel arch and bond the rest to the body , with the vert i think you will only need to modify the underside of the skirt which wont be seen anyway

so is it $336 + shipping for a pair of OEM sides?
^ yeah, and which parts out of the list from that site am i going to have to buy to make it fit my vert???

Just get the cyberbestbuy ones that are in the group buy and take them to a body shop. If you want, drive over here, pack a bag, and put them on for you >wink.gif>

This is one of the tightest convertibles ever, and I think should be a feature ride. Tressa95 These are the 404 sides that are in the group buy. The front lip fits with no modification. I have it on mine. The 96-99 lip. The rear extensions are the easiest way to go for the behind.

trd sides are more like the "z max" sides
i think like this one

stock ones looks like this

user posted imageoh here's the trd sides

TRD resemble the SS-III sideskirts (or other late spec Celicas I believe). Not sure if it's exactly the same, but definitely looks like it.
TRD never made sideskirts. look at the parts list and you'll see they only sold the front bumper and rear wing. the sideskirts on the car were dealer-option in Japan. when buying the car they could be purchased as an added option
i think the 404 sides or the OEM optional skirts would be nice on your droptop, i was gonna go that way but got my kit instead >biggrin.gif>
