Rear drums - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #23318 5 posts Started by dolli
Hi, I am new here on this forum and i decided I needed some information about my 94 Celica ST.

I live in Iceland so I am not as fluid in english as I would like and that is why im asking for your help.

The problem is this.

I need new rear brakes, I know all I need to know about the front discs
My rear brakes are drums, and I have NO idea what the things are called.
I need new brake pads and that is easy, but what is the thing that makes the friction agains the pad?

I am also in some trouble about other items on my car that i have no idea what they are in english and my Toyota dealership doest have parts for me because my beautiful ST at200 is an american model, Which makes my car unique here in Iceland (NO ONE ELSE HAS THIS KIND OF CAR).

Any help and information would friggin AWESOME >biggrin.gif>

Thank you
DOLLI
Brake=Shoes.. those are the pads that go inside the drum and push out and cause the friction to stop the motion of the drum ....

You could try getting an American owners repair manual for the car. It should have all the parts listed in english, and show their picture so you can idintify them.
