I like the new X-Runner, but Toyota should give it more power, a truck with anything less than 300HP shouldn't really be a sport truck.

I've loved the X-Runner since it first came out.

saw one today at the gas station, looks good and the drums in the back make it look kind of silly but they sure are huge so I have no doubt that the truck can stop on a dime
Looks great in black. That blue doesnt do it justice.

QUOTE(lagos @ Jul 10, 2006 - 1:55 PM) i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.
I don't understand the reasoning behind owning a truck for performance, other than hauling something occasionally. Most don't handle as well as cars, and they are about as aerodynamic as a house.

that's just my opinion though,

U know what, I don't see the point either. I just thought the Tacomas look so damn nice when they're lowered....

The stick shift on this new generation is nice. Specially this X-Runner comes stock with 6-speed instead of 5-speed (last yr). The stick shift is just like our ordinary car instead of one of those long stick shift found on a truck. It definitely feels a lot better than my celica. The interior is awesome too. The Tacomas has offically ditched their famous "plain simple truckin' interior design"

Personally, I really really really love this new upgrade from last generation. Bow to Toyota!

For a sport truck i think it looks too "big"... ive always felt 2WD pickups to be pointless, the chevy Xtreme series highlighting that fact... but then again i like Miatas so who am i to judge...

Did they actually make the supercharged version, I went to Toyota's website and couldn't find the option? I agree about the drums, if a simple base model F-150 can have four wheel disc why can't the X-Runner. I like the performance truck thing, but I had a GMC Sierra that would wail on most street cars, it's funny when you pull up to an SRT-4 or WRX in this 4,650 lbs. wall and want to race, it's even worse when I beat them.
