I have started my performance modifications to the 3sgte. Here is a picture of the first in a series of upgrades over the next several weeks. Anyone know what it is?

The FPR, some hose, the fitings and the guage. Thats it.

Hi Manny. It is an aeromotive. I have the turbo narrowed down to two units: The GT28RS, or a T3/T4 46 trim with .63A/R. I am going to wait until I get more information on the Speed Factor turbos coming out.

I also ordered new wheels today that I am pretty excited about. 17x7.5 and only 17lbs each.

nice choices, j..the mr2 guys especially bruceH has had really good results with the GT28rs. i hear ya about waiting for that speed factor turbo, seems REALLY promising, dont it? i like the idea of having options with the bolt on capibilitys >wink.gif>
good luck on the buildup, cant wait to see the results! >smile.gif>

That's lookin awesome J. Make sure you put the new pics on with the wheels. What are you gonna set the fuel at? You getting injectors too?
Steve: fuel pressure is currently set at 43psi. With the new turbo comes lots of other goodies like injectors, rail, and EMS. Its a big jump but why not? Fun ain't free....

Manny: I think the Speed Factor turbos would be awsome if they work well. I am a little concerned about not having an external gate when you are pushing that much air but they claim the internal gate is 38mm and works as well as a tial 38 mm unit. I am not sure whether 38mm internal = 38 mm external in terms of performance though.

If I don't go with the Speed Factor turbo, I am also going to redo my intercooler piping. I am going to run the piping from the intake manifold to the passenger side of the intercooler and then clock the turbo down and run the hot side right down to the drivers side of the intercooler without the silly loop which is necessary for the CT-26.

P.S. where are our skirts?

actually your all wrong including j-dog. Thats a contruder valve and the gauge reads pressure comng fomr the rear deflector near the muffler bearings.
yea, i agree on the internal gate, guess we'll see what happens soon. good idea with the clocked turbo, i wanted to do the same for my 5s, but the hassle of the actuator bracket nixed the idea..
wish i knew what exatly was up with the skirts, guess ill have to give grant a call and see what the deal is on those.
what ru planning for a EMS?
