I have a 95 GT convertible with the 8-speaker premium sound system. The speakers sound like crap and I would like to replace them. Does anyone know what sizes I need to look for? I am also having a hard time finding 3-way component systems. Most systems only have a woofer and tweeter- I need woofer, tweeter, and midrange.
Suggestions?
Focal and CDT both make some good 3 way comps, but theyre pretty expensive. You could just put a normal 2 way comp in, just listen to different brands and see which sounds the best to you.
Should I just leave the midrange alone then? Just replace the woofer and tweeter if I can't find a 3-way?
Is it a difficult replacement?
