like it says i had my new head unit hooked up with the harnesses that i needed and the head unit powered up fine and every thing, but i got no sound at all out of the speakers?? i check it and it was wire to the speaker lines? what could be wrong?? idk what to do

if u can get some pictures off all ur connections.. we might be able to hlep u better... and u might have hooked up the wrong wires..

aftr thinking maybe its not my car, i took a 6.5 in speaker and hooked it up to 1 chanel and again nothing came out! lol so that means....... you got it. its my head unit. i useto have my head unit power my speakers then hooked rca's up and powered by a amp and now i wana go back to just the head unit. but i guess it wont work. i have a pioneer premier. could i do ne thing to fix this beside buy a new head unit. or hook my amp back up?? also if i have to hook my amp up i need to put my 6.5 in the doors and my 6x8 in the rear. cuz i dont have money to buy new speakers. how can i do this? and where can i put a 4 gauge wire through the fire wall with out drilling?

well are u sure its not the speakers? having it originally to an amp then speakers makes no difference at all. esspecially if u have a premier thats a good quality deck.

o and the firewall thing on the passanger side of your firewall theres a rubber boot thing run it through there, the wire will come out behind your glovebox.

well i have figured it out, its the head unit for sure! im pissed i hope the rca's still work so i can just hook it back up to the amp. what would be wrong with it that the internal amp isnt workin?

yea i have the same issue with my pioneer headunit
think its just sumthing that happens to them
the only way i can get speakers is if i rca output to an amp then run to the speakers time to take it to a HU repair shop

yeah thats what im dooing just hooking it up to a amp. now i only have 6.5 nch speakers and some 5x7 or 6x8's is there any way in hell i can mouth these in there?? lol and in my old car there were 2 clips inder the rear seat that lifted the cushion up, cant the cushon come up in the celica?? i usualy run the wires under the carpet or trim piece then under the back seat into the trunk. is there any other way to do this thats easyer??

Are you using a CD or radio.. maybe you didnt hook the antenna lead up
