take out your spare tire, fiber glass it in, and make a box of your hatch floor??
what happens when i have a flat???
well then ur ****ed, and i hope ya got AAA, lol idk the rx8 doesnt come with a spare tire. the way my set up useto be in my old car even if i got a flat i couldnt get to my spare any time soon and would take me over a hr just to get to it
Buy this! or buy some heavy duty brackets and bolt that bitch down. Otherwise you could make some fiberglass enclosures on each side of your trunk.

ok i'm kinda in the same boat... I need to find a way to bolt my box down or latch it or somethin.. and i have no ideas... help me!!!!!
i had this problem.. but my boxes slip right in behind the seats.. you could lay some 2x4's against the back of the hatch to the box..erm i dunno how to explain it.

I'm talkin about that AND if I get in a wreck I dont want that flyin through and killin me... It's a scary thought but it's real life, and we all know shiot happens
ok i was in the same situation as you my sub box would slide a lot and when i would open up the trunk it would be against the back so i got some L shaped brackets and put screws in my sub box and then through the trunk carpet and into the card board that is covering the spare tire. Now the thing never budges but if you need to get the spare out your going to need a screw driver to get the brackets off but how many flats do you get so i dont really worry about that too much. its one remedy that will work and only cost ya a few bucks.
So anything else besides and L-bracket? Something quick incase I need to get to the spare and don't have a screw driver
For real.. bump I"m not aloud to put my system back in until i figure this out

It won't help all the time, but mostly you can just spray some foam into the tire and drive to the nearest gas station or whatever to get the tire fixed. I don't have my spare tire anymore, and have only replaced it with this little can of foam. I don't know the name, but it's something made to fill tires if you ever get a flat one.
>frown.gif> My parents are stubborn and want me to have a quick release option.. HELP!!!!
I put a luggage bag in the back so the box doesn’t slide around. Works like a charm just got to find one that fits.
if you have the htach back. put the box against the back of the seats. then put a hinge on the back of the box and the other half on the floor. if you need to get you spare tire out, puch the sub BACK so it folds down onto your seat if they were folded down. but yet at the same time if the seats are up they can fold back or move. and they cant slide around. just amke sure the hinge is big enough
Have you considered velcro? i read somewhere that if you apply velcro to the bottom of your box and some to the floor, it should hold it pretty well. for extra hold, you could also have the L-bracket, there is no way the boy will be sliding

Speeding is only Illegal...If you Get Caught
im tellin u my hinge idea is the best and will work
well i had a L brackett on mine and the bracke came off of the box now for the velcrow i dont know because i would have to pull my carpet up. and also i have my amp and my capacitator on on the back of the seat so i cant push it all the way up i wish i could.
ur right!!! lol i will get mine fixed no big deal
