Hey guys, I have noticed comparing my car to other celicas, that mine looks like it has tint. I have parked next to other toyotas, and there windows are clear an my are tinted, yet I havnt got tint and i know its not like aftermarket film, cause theres no ledge. Is there such thing as stock or factory tint??

Its also very light though, like maybe 50% or somthing stupid

i bought my car year ago and my windows are 35% all around and 6 inch on dash...ive seen alot around here like that...i think dealers do is in someplaces

the thing is, that most you will see the strip and can tell its an aftermarker add on, mine is like stock or somthing no strip or layer.

You think so? It doesnt seem too dark, from the inside especially... its how i got the car, so it might have had a proffesional tint job, bc it seems flawless. Oh well, not complaining, i like it >>

Yeah, I've got aftermarket tint on my 94 gt which is a film, but I also have a 97 4runner limited edition with tint that looks like it's part of the window, like sun glasses!

speaking of tint, do I have to get that film kind if I'm getting my windows done? I always see it bubbling on other people's cars, so that's the last thing I want. I'd like to get mine tinted as dark as is legal but still have it look nice.

Most likely you'll get a film. Just look around, ask people who got tinted windows where they got it done. A professional shop should install it and guaruntee it from bubbling, turning purple, etc. My Prelude had the windows tinted by a good shop in Kansas City and in the 5 years or so that it had been on the car, I only noticed one like pin size bubble in the rear window from the defroster.

yup it happens... toyota dealers tint windows on different cars... not alot, just noticeble though.

I know mine has the stock tint. You don't really notice when the windows are up, but if you roll it down halfway, you can see the difference.

same here my windows all look like there tinted with maybe 50%??? and i can tell its not aftermarket. no seams or any thing looks like the windows them are just dark doesnt look like theres any film.

Mines the same thing, an I know its not just me, cause when my glasses i can see a wierd reflective thjing when i look at tint, and it does it on mine.
