I was wondering what are the best plugs to use?

i think denso's irridum or ngks irridium
well i'm also looking for some spark plugs and spark plugs wire. I've been trying to get some MSD spark plug/wire but couldn't find any for the Celica. It's weird. I've came across some NGK (iridium), Denso (iridium), and Nology. From what i heard, iridium kind of spark plugs are very good. And i heard from a friend saying that too much spark can "burn the piston"???....i never heard of that but i don't want to take any chances..if anyone know if that's true or not let me know.

take them out and inspect em, if they look or smell bad then replace em
You could always just clean and re-gap them.

I just ordered son Nology Hot Wires, they called me on the phone to confirm they would fit in my car. I have heard good things about them.

Does anyone know where to get a cap and rotor? I only have a Pep Boys in town and don’t really trust them. If there is a website that has ones let me know.

As far as plugs, I have always heard that iridium and platinum and all of those fancy ones are a waste. They are just coated copper and they corrode faster because they are coated. If you can find silver plugs, they are the best conductor and corrode much slower. I wonder if anyone makes silver rotors and caps?

cap and rotor just go to the dealership, if you have a 15-25% off coupon, id help. i think both were 20-30 bucks
denso and ngk are toyota oem, v6 tacoma's from the factory had ngk in one bank and denso in the other bank the ngk's would last longer. the denso iridiums are nice plugs they will go forever!
pepboys stuff is fine

if you can go to advanced auto their stuff is good GP sorenson is what brand they use

and NGK v-power is like 1.28$ there
and NGK iridium is like 5.99$ a piece there
The dealership didn’t carry cap, rotor, or fuel filter. They said my 99 is too old to keep parts in stock. They can order if I pay shipping.

I found an Auto Zone and bought a cap and rotor, but they look like the worst quality parts I’ve ever seen. I should return them and go to pep boys.

How often should I replace the fuel filter? I’m at 98,000 miles and on my original.
