This guy did this a couple of weeks ago and his parents went out and bought him a Boxter, I guess as a reward for having the car for more than a month before totaling it.

no spoiled rich kids where your at? half my friends are like that. tho my buddy's parents didn't buy him a new car when he totaled his wrx, he got stuck with the e-class ..

i think "hate" is the wrong term for spoiled rich kids, more like envy..

you cant say you would turn down a boxter if you totalled your car.

plus we dont know the situation, maybe he was getting that boxter soon anyway

I wouldn't take a Boxter if anyone handed over the keys, first off for a Porche they are SLOW, second it uses VW parts (not that VW is bad, but it's a Porche), and third Porches are very cheap made just check the quility Hyundai makes more reliable cars, i'd take a d*** Daewoo over that crap. Who's bitching I don't like how spoiled kids treat their stuff, i've wrecked one car and it still haunts me, mommy and daddy didn't bail me out and never will.

heres a quick way to do it if the photo is on the internet already.

1 right click onto the photo.
2 click into properties
For example, this photos url is:
http://www.6gc.net/images/member_photos/3796_5.jpg
3. on your 6gc post click into images.
4. a box pops up with: http://
5. put the url in there cut and paste.
6. click ok, and the picture should be there.

Make sure http:// is there one time only, not twice, for example:

http://http://www.6gc.net/images/member_photos/3796_5.jpg
this is wrong, get rid of one of the http://

luckily the kids out here tend to like big ass lifted trucks, which i dont care for

i guess you could say im a rich kid. my mom offered to buy me a g35 coupe but i turned it down

instead i opted for the much cheaper WRX. she wouldnt let me drive anything older than 2000 when i would be perfectly happy with a 2nd gen dsm or a mk3 supra

i got my car as a highschool graduation/ getting into a great college present. so yea, my mom got me my car, i dont directly pay for it. instead i do all the home and car repair. i also do the maintainance on our apartment buildings.

this year alone i have saved my mom $10k+. in the past 10 years, i have done so much plumbing, painting, drywalling, cabinet replacment, auto repair, and even reroofing.

basically, she paid me with a nice car. and yes, i am very greatful and appreciate what has been given to me. if i total the car and its my fault, i am fairly certain she will cut my balls off.

See I like people who actually work for what they have. I have respect for those people, I don't like most Porsche, Viper, Ferrari, and other exotic drivers because most of them get those cars since they are to lazy to build them a car like that or they think it's the prestige of owning it. A note for the people that own those cars I have a '69 Chevelle sitting in the garage ready to hand you your ass and only spent $15,000 to do it.

5.Mustang Gt

driving your own personal built car will never EVER match driving a ferrari or a high end porsche or exotic... there's certain aspects of development that goes into those types of cars that the average out-of-garage mechanic and/or aftermarket shop just cannot compete with, no matter how good they are. you may be able to make a car faster than one, but its still just not the same as actually driving one, the refinement and overall driving experience is just sooo incredable you cant get it from building a car yourself, its a completely different aspect of the automotive world.

if i were to be able to afford one of those special 6-digit vehicles, i would buy one in a heartbeat... its an experience you cant get anywhere else.

As I said before the prestige, but last time I checked Porche is now a glorified VW, but that is my fault for comparing it to a Ferrari or Lamborgini. I would like to drive any of them, except the Viper i've done that. Needless to say it's just like a Lexus IS300, people pay $30,000+ for these cars but when it comes down to it, it's a Toyota. Lift the floor mats in a Porche and you see VW (not really just a joke), but for those Audi owners check under the hood and you might see VW stamped or molded somewhere, just like on the air box of the Jetta VR6 it's got the Audi rings. I don't need the shield or bull to compensate for my (you know), my Celica does just fine for looks and power is just around the corner. (And ask easternpiro1 it's still a chick magnet)

Talking about these "supercars" makes me wonder, who's left Aston Martin, Jaguar, and Land Rover are under Ford, Porsche and Audi are owned by VW, I think BMW is owned by Mini, GM owns Hummer, I think Ferrari got bought by Fiat or somebody. I believe Lamborghini is all that is left, all of these prestigious manufacturers are owned by a regular everyday car company. Now it was that a Porsche was unique and rare, something only the cream of the crop could have (ex. 944), but now they're just cars, I wouldn't feel any different driving a Ferrari than a new GTO.

Ford GT, 30 year old design, original engineers dead or in nursing homes, and they slap a tuned up Cobra engine in it and tag it at $141,245 so that the dealerships can price it at $300,000. They're selling a car today that probably cost them a cool million to develop back then.(don't hold me to that)
