this is a project that i am going to do. i did search through other posts like i was supposed to. well anyways i bought 2 more calipers from this guy off ebay. they are sandblasted and ready to paint he said. what parts do i paint. can i get a desciption of what part to paint from a picture cause i mean the caliper is pretty big.im no where close to know what i am doing on this thing i need all the help i can here is the site can some on take the picture and circle the parts i need to paint. and also the drums, my drum is rusted or atleast it looks like it is. how could i paint it??
bust out some hi heat paint or specific caliper paint which ever u have. Then paint everything u see. the whole caliper just no paint of the rotor. and the whole drum just spray away. i painted my caliper red in front. and my rusted drum black be sure to hit both up with some high heat clear so it won't fade.

Don't paint your drums. Unless you're painting them black. I just wouldn't bring attention to the fact you have drums...lol

drums means that you car isn't worthy of better stopping power.
i still think painted drums look good though. i was planning on painting my calipers and drums.
Move to Europe and get a car with disc brakes all around >smile.gif>

Joke aside, I think you should paint those drums and don't think about what other people say. It's your car and you do what you want/think will be nice. If you car have 50 hp, or 500 hp doesn't matter. It's still your baby, and I'm sure everyone love their own car no matter what it is.
^^ well said. >biggrin.gif>

you have a gt, you have 4 disks, you're good

Disc versus drum is easy to tell. Discs have rotors, where the braking surface is exposed and kept shiny by the brake pads.
i think i wanna paint my calipers too, but i can't decide on what colour..
the car is red, so i can either do that, or i was thinking a more subtle gunmetal to match my rims and not stand out as much >confused.gif>
