ok heres the situation coolant was leaking from the thermostat housing and i went to get a new gasket and gasket lube, anyways when i installed it, it went in an angle and i crack a piece off the theromstat housing bolt but the thing is that it too a pretty small chunk of metal and now i got a bigger leak , so anyways im not fully sure that its attached to the block or not and i was wondering if you guys knew and if it is then im screwed and i have to get anothe block and if you guys can provide some photos of it (its next to the water pump) that would be great
Thermo housings on 4AG's are not part of the block and can be replaced... Think of it this way. If the piece you brok was iron... then you *might* be in trouble. If it was alluminum... you're probably OK.

it is iron its inside of the other end of the housing where it bolts on
ok im really relieved today it turns out that the water pump housing was rusted from the inside out and thats whats causing the leak.......so now i dont have to worry about getting a block so ya im happy now
