Thats the stock blue for the 6th gen, my car used to be that color before I painted it.

it looks like "Purple Opal Metallic Clearcoat", available in '97. Info is from paintscratch.com

so its a purple rather than a blue? i looks like a pearl blue or something. What a sweet color, how could you want to change that?

Because its purple and trust me the SI blue looks so much better. I think it is called Bright Iris Pearl Clearcoat 8K9. I'll have to look at my door sills.

yea man si blue is much better if ur going for a somwhat blue purpleish color this guy at my school has his celica stock purple or whatever that color is its ok not that hot man kinda BARNEY color lol

I was looking up paint codes for my car , a 1995 Celica and its Black, however I want to know what is the exact name for it and I'm wondering if it was Black Onyx, im trying to match the paint codes and my car is kinda...not here at the moment.....hehe....so yeah?.....

I believe that's probably Fiesta Blue as cyb593 said, which is the 'purple-ish' colour that you see on some Celicas (the only stock purple that was offered). I think it's a metallic colour too? Not sure.

YEa i slightly looked into it because i got a hatch 97 with that color i found like Metalic Fiesta Blue through my searches, but when i loook i odnt see much metalic too it... so i got no clue

the color of that celica is bright iris pearl. 8k9. its the same color as half my celica, and ive bought touch up paint for it...
