anyone had dampers fail on a st205 gt four. got a clonking noise both sides. One side has had fig 8 and arm and i have done arb bushes. cant find play anywhere in suspension components

If both fig8s and lower arms have been done at the same time, I'd suspect the ball joints or top mounts next.

Ball joints are an utter bastard. So much so that I just replaced the front shocks instead. And the top mounts. It was the only way to be sure.

aren't the ball joints part of the arm?

no the ball joints are held onto the arm by 3 bolts
and the hub by 1 bolt

Ball joints come as part of the shock/strut.

umm no they don't the ball joint is what allows the HUB to rotate and pivot on the arm
