I know a lot of people who are into drugs. My best friend in Jr. high now lives in a halfway house because of it all. Its really sad to see him anymore...He was a very talented drummer. In 8th grade, his band was so good. they could have made it really big.. I can't even begin to explain his abilities behind a drumset. He was too good for our schools jazz band. He had like $20,000 wrapped up in 4 different drumsets. Then the drugs started kicking in on him. The band fell apart, and the further down he went into his habits.
It was sad to see... I remember one night he called me crying his eyes out. He was on something, he wasn't making too much sense. He told me I was the best friend he'd ever had and he's sorry for what he was about to do. I didn't understand what he was talking about until I heard him cock his gun. It was the worst night of my life. I guess he didn't know his mom was still home or something because she ended up walking into his room to find him with the gun to his head. It was probably the last time I was ever really able to talk to him. He wasn't at school for the rest of the year and I couldn't get a hold of him. He obviously went to a rehab center and got some major counseling. It didn't really help though. He's now in the worst condition of his life from what I've heard. My sister said she saw him like a month ago and according to her, he's skin-n-bones, pale, circles around his eyes.
Its really sad...
I wish there was something that could be done for the excessive drug use in our society today. It's depressing to know about stories like all of ours. >
