Hey guys, I am from Ohio and just got my second ticket (moving violation). First was from when I wrecked my integra, no one else involved just me and the guard rail. Does anyone know if they will suspend my license for sure? Is there anything I can say in court so that they don't? I don't turn 18 until august, and it would suck to not have my licsense throughout summer. Also, if I did lose and and got suspended driving privaldges to work and home, how risky would it be to not follow this? I have underbody neons...and would dra attention from cops, perhaps leading to geting pulled oer and then they would see I don't have a valid licsense. anyone have any advice or go through the same thing? What should i do??

it would probably depend on how much points it was, and how much points you already had on your license. is there anyway you can take a class to take the points of your license? like in Florida.

How would I find out if a class would do the job? Could I ask the judge or is this something I would take care of before I go into court? Also, if you're under 18 I don't know if points are actually considered...All I know if my first ticket was from an accident (I fell asleep going 65 on the highway, not speeding, hit a guardrail, noone else involved) and then a ticket for 54/35 (19 over). Anyone know if this would yield a suspended license? Also, is there a plea I could make and ask the judge to not suspend my license and if I get another ticket before I turn 18 I will lose my license for a longer period of time? Any help is appreciated! >>

I know in NC if you lose your license under 18 you'll have the option to get it back when you turn 18. It determines the law in our state 2 moving violations regardless of how serious it is, you lose your license until you're 18. Check with the magistrate on the law and they might be able to help or tell you if you stand a chance. As far as driving advice without a license I seem to be the resident expert since i've lost mine twice in the past year. The best thing is stay in a group of other cars when you can, stay off of the backroads near rural areas since that is a favorite for speed traps, whether it is illegal or not don't do anything to attract attention (i.e. damage on vehicle, neons, "pigmagnet" license plate) the best thing is blend in with everyone else and the cop won't think anything. Some advice I heard from a retired trooper was that most cops look for someone that is out of place from a group and that is usually who they go for, regardless if there is a car next to you where someone is smoking a joint with a beer in their hand with no seat belt on with three flat tires and no inspection or registration stickers, and the only thing you did wrong was swerve to miss a pot hole, you'll draw the attention and get pulled. Yes it's a little exaggerated and if the cops around here were that bad I would have been gone, but i've been driving without a license since February and the only ticket I got was at a crooked ass traffic stop, i'm not going into that one again though.

u got a ticket for pile driving a guard rail? wow, stiff cop who ever ticketed u... round here if u pile drived a guard rail, the cop would rate u from 1-10 on style and elegancy and call a tow truck. ooo true it is destroying goverments property but enough to get a ticket? just say u were avoiding a collision with a deer... small animal probably... ur saving an endangered species yo.

lol, wish I would've been that creative when I got in the accident. yea the cop said if I hadn't hit the rial he wouldn't have cited me...but I did so he "had to". Just got the invoice for the guardrail repairs also...$691. Called the insurance company and they said they covered it with no increase in premium! any time here in ohio you get in a accident and its your fault you get slaped with "failure to control vechiel" (sp) lol i hit a freaking tree on a tree lawn and i got a tiicket and there was no damage what so ever to the tree!!!!

Then if you run over a deer instead of swerving and hitting a guardrail you get one for animal cruelity and littering, unless it's out of season then you get one for poaching too, lol j/k.

Ever think of telling the truth? Besides, all these people on here who give you advise on "crooked ass cops" are idiots. If they were truely as smart as they try to portray themselves, they would know that they should have been dealing with the "crooked ass prosecutor" in the first place. Then maybe they wouldn't have to drive around w/out a license. But hey, it's the "crooked ass cop's" vault when they get to spend some time in jail when they get caught...b/c they always do...stupid people do stupid things that catch up with them >>

As much as I hate to admit it, go plea bargin with the prosecutor and plead guilty to a lower violation. They will probably give you the option of taking a driver's ed class...which will take points off and reduce your insurance...and keep you and everyone else on the road safer.

I wouldn't worry about it... worst case scenario is you loose your licesne for 6 months...it sux, but there are worse things in life. Just find yourself a sugar momma to drive u around...lol

If you do "lose" your license don't worry man everything you've learned about driving wont be erased, you'll still be able to ruin those guardrails lives. The consequesnces are stiffer but i've been busted 3 times while driving with a revoked and i've never spent a day in jail (it pays to keep a few hundred on you, j/k... or am I). CupCrazy38 you don't want to test me, I took on Andason and still made a good defence. The truth is of course "morally right", but why should the next few years be jacked up because you fell asleep and hit a guard rail. I understand people die that way, but people die a lot of ways and maybe it's my Marine training but it happens, we're human. As far as the speeding always ask the officer to show you what he registered, in most cases they don't get a good clock on you so they guess and in some states they cannot ticket you without showing you a speed. If they tell you they didn't get a good clock or refuse to show you and ticket you anyway, you better hope you recorded it and report them, you'll get it thrown out of court since the state will not have a defence. In your current case you didn't do that so you can gamble and plead innocent or plead guilty and let the DA reduce the speed (it's usually 10mph).

A mercedes in front of me went to take a left and i wasnt expecting it and braked really hard and started skidding so i went to the right and went into a ditch and almost hit a telephone..I called my daddy and someone else must have called a cop cuz one rolled up and he said he could give me a ticket for wreckless but didnt for the fact that if i would have hit that pole a few feet away i would have died so he thought that would be a big enough punishment!

Why should you be pissed at me bashing cops it's not like i'm saying every one I pass pull me over, i'm saying they take their authority to far sometimes. I wouldn't be pissed about the Marine crack, most are rocks and a**holes, it's because we're basically programmed to not give a s*** about life since one day we'll probably be forced to kill innocent people.
