1/4 mile database - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #24970 10 posts Started by TrdKing
We should have a database that says quarter mile times and you can see basic car info and link to the members ride if you want.

ex.

Member Year Transmission Code 0-60 1/4 mile

TRDking 1994 Manual ST204 ? ?
etc. etc. etc. etc. ? ?
The problems are that very few people here take their cars to the track. And like most of the stuff I develop, no-one would use it most likely. Also, lots of members guess or lie about their quarter mile times.

New Toyota project coming soon...
You'd have to scan in your timeslip before ppl believed you (only if its a decent time).

I ran a 13.9 a few nights ago with a civic intake.

Exactly. And plus, it would be pretty boring with all those 16's, 17's, and 18's.
i see some of your points maybe we could incorporate it into your profile
similar to the system used on cardomain.com...have the members list their best 1/4 mile and best 0-60 time...have it verifies by coomer or some other moderators in order to get it officialized (via timeslip)

Speeding is only Illegal...If you Get Caught
I will oppose this hardcore. I know the moderators won't do it either. It's like postcounts, people will use it as a standard to compare themselves to other members, people will get an elitist attitude and just become dicks. It's a nice thought, for a perfect world.
