Which would you do. A guy at my work is selling one pretty cheap. I could do the 240 with a swap an sell my car or swap 3s-gte in my car? The 6th gen with swap would cost more.. butt what would u do?

I'm looking at two 240SX's right now and there is a third one for sale down the road from my house I might go for. SR20Det's are pretty easy to come by especially the S13 verisions (red top, I think). I can get one fully rebuilt with all the parts needed for the swap for $2,500, all I have to do is put it in. I want a RWD import and the 240 is the cheapest (and most common) option also.
this being a celica site im pretty sure that most everyone is going to vote for the 3sgte.
i would go for the 240. can't beat the rear wheel drive platform!

hanyo does have a point. i think the 240 with the red top would be alot of fun! i learned how to drive using a 240 and was taking corners like crazy and spining out. this was before anyone in the US knew drifting.
If you want practicality, then get a 240 and a redtop swap.

I'd take a 3SGTE Celica over an S13... it'll split between an S14 and Celica. 240sx's are basically the new "Civic" for wannabe drifters.

Hmm...S13 definately not, S14, IDK I might opt for that. S15, no chance in hell I'd pass that up. Theres a kid around here that has a Japanese S14 he imported w/o and engine and put in an SR20DET, its mint.

ehhh if it was between those two id go for the celica. one reason for it is becuase no one expects a celica to be fast. first time i went to a track event with a few auto cross guys they where amazed how well balanced the celica was and how it was able to keep up/pass others in its class.
For the same price of an SR 240, you can get an LS1 FC. You'll see mine round end of august

I love how my celica turns heads just because its not a 240 or a civic. I like the rarity in my car. And whats better than having a rare celica? A rare celica with a 3SGTE in it!
