well oven clean on a valve cover wow .. that stuff is way better then any engine degresser i have used ... and its great cause u can use it on a cold engine ... and and u don't use any water to get it off just wipe off.. and ur good to go ...

might have to give this a shot since it seems ill be taking mine off tomorrow

Autozone brake cleaner is what I use. It's strong stuff. You have to be really carefull about wires and junk.

i'll post pics this weekend don't know where i put my cam ... but let me tell u guys .. this oven cleaner works so damn great.. i used it just on a valve cover i had in the basement... yea i had to use loves and a mask cause that stuff is expreamlly toxic.. but damn .. that stuff works like sand paper ..
