I will return one day.
no tape in the tank..... use heat shrink tubing......do NOT leave the wires exposed! do NOT use tape!
15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned
where are u finding a walbro 255 pump for 6gc's? I'm having trouble finding one
NASA/SCCA RX-7....currently under the knife92 Civic hatch B16 - Sold10th anniv RX-7 - RIPThe Slow Celica - Sold...and then crushed crushed due to street racing.Quote from Seinfeild: George's Boss reading a magazine: "People magazine's most beautiful people. Oh and a Celica...nothin wrong with that!"
how tight does that heat shrink have to get, it dosent tighten all the way on the top part where the wires are thiner.
ebay, search walbro 255 supra you have to get a supra one.
did you take a lighter to it? (while its out of the tank, awya from gas and all the fuel is dired off! )
it just has to cover up the exposed wires and not slide off. basic idea is that the 2 wires cant touch eachother or anything metal.

Comes with RippMods Super charger kit
oops sorry i ment shrink not tape lol
just anything to not expose the wires
just anything to not expose the wires
Heat shrink should grip tight, it can shrink by about 50%-70% and it will grip the wire big time. make sure that you buy a wide enough bit to allow the soldered bits to slide in and you`ll have no probs, if you dont want to use a lighter (which I wouldnt) the heat from your soldering iron should be enough, just rub it up and down the heat shrink tubing and it will contract.
those are low votage wires any way. right. so there really isnt much to worry about. they grip really good on the thicker wire from the new fuel pump but the smaller original wires arent that good.
its 12v ....but thats not tha point. you want to avoid any part of the striped wire making contact with anything metal. as long as u do that its ok... it wont matter if its an air tight seal or anything like that. just make sure the heatshrink cant slide off and expose the wire.

you could also use a hair dryer to shrink the tube.
I will return one day.
think of what would happen when the two wires touched inside a tank full of fuel..BOOM!!! Solder and shrink tubing. If you are unsure of your abilities, take it to a pro, this is something you don't wanna F up
the think i learned from working with electronics.. is when you cut and solder wires.. always cut one wire shorter ( different location) then the other.. SO even though the eletrical tape/ shrink wrap fails, the exposed wire has a higher chance of not shorting.
yeah i used that shrink tube thing. Im not woried about the wires touching each other. i was just thinking it fuel happens to get to the wire can it ignite
