I'm with you. Looks like he crashed to avoid hitting the scooter, because he was too much in the left lane to push himself out. He only had the two options.

he had the wheels turned to the right the whole time trying to correct the drift. he wasn't trying to avoid the scooter, he was just being a moron, and had absolutely no control.

Very Very true. If he had floored it he could have saved the car for hitting the hill, But i think it would hit the right wall after that manouvre!
