you can look at it in a positive way. like 1900wattcelica said, you will get more than your $6k asking price unless you decide to try and fix it. its just hard to see something you put so much time and effort into turn to something destroyed overnight. $4200 + $car > $6000, so just try to look at it that way so this situation isnt a complete loss...

the engine and full harness can go for 2000-2500 then if he parts out the interior and the little things fenders seats etc another 500+

Yeah Coom, I think you'd definitely be able to make your more than your $6000 if you parted it out. I can think of a few things I'd want and and would pay well for.

Seeing crap like this makes me angry. >> Don't people know the two rules of life? Never mess with a man's girl or his car. Messing with a mans NICE car is even worst. Hey coomer if you car is totaled you should buy a new celica and put your old engine in your new car. Anyway I hope that you will be able to get a new celica.

He had been trying to sell the Celica for almost a year so I'm not sure he's really in the market for another one.

Thanks for the input guys. I've got several options at this point:

• Part out the car
• Fix the car(just touch up the scratches and fix and paint the rear trunk lid and plate bezel myself) and keep it. No more money would be put into it, and the car would be just my basic daily driver...30 MPG plus a car that's a blast to drive(even if it's ugly.) I've got the window, seats, and some interior parts already from the purple Celi.
• Fix the car and sell it with a salvage title.

Regardless of the money issue, the situation sucks...even at $7,000 I was taking a huge loss on the car, and it hurts to see the car so destroyed after nearly four years of hard work.

I hate seeing things like this happen to people like you. You worked hard making that car what it was. I really hope they find the people who did it so you can get some justice.

I'm a web developer myself so I know how much work went into making this site what it is today. You are completely dedicated to 6gc.net. I want to say thanks man. This site has made my experience with my 6th gen exponentially better. Actually, it was reading posts on this site that helped me make my decision to buy a celica.

sorry to hear. you can probably get the salvage title removed pretty easy just as long as its road worthy. im guessing they didnt mess up the engine thats a good thing. i would fix it.

i say drive it around as a daily driver since you fixed all the bugs. and use some of the money and buy a shot gun if the person or persons come back for more.

buy a door handle activated mine...that way you can arm it when u lock ur doors and if anyone trys to open it....boom...at least they die with the car
