Anyone have experience purchasing brake calipers for your celicas at Pep Boys, Advance Auto Parts, or AutoZone?
I'm thinking if it's really worth buying another set of Toyota Calipers, or saving my money and going with a comparable replacement from one of these places?
How did you break your calipers?
i had one freeze up from rust and replaced it
Get a remanufactured one -- really, the parts that wear out aren't hard to manufacture to quality, and the rest can be reused.
Cheaper solution would be a rebuild kit and some time.
advanced auto remans are good...just make sure you have the core with you....
Remaufactured calipers are basically rebuilt OEM ones...

if you have rust on your calipers and some good power tools and sand paper and gel ... you can save alot of money .. did with mine last winter.. props to my uncle..

how often do you need to change calipers.
you don't change them based on "often"
calipers are calipers they stay there for forever unless they break thats when its time to change them
i was getting my brakes done, and look at what they foud out. my brake calipers were frozen. so right now they are doing there best, but can not findany new ones in town so far. i told my dad my brakes were POS, but he never believed me.
