No, they old celica's werent more powerful but they were when they were labeled as Supra/celica. Before they split them to make the supra and the celica. but they older celica's only had like 95 horses

I got quoted for $18 retail for one at Toyota Parts Department. Plus i get a little discount. It's the same price for the cursive "celica" emblem. For the celica emblems is costing me $27 for two and they said it's the same price for the dragons. it's from a 71 celica.
found this cool dragon emblem some guy did on his computer:
haha found some "history" thing:

Brief History of Celica and 1982 Production
Toyota named the car "Celica," which derived from medieval Spaniards that used Latin and it's literal translation is a plural form of "celestial" as in "celestial things". The original dragon logo depicts a celestial blue dragon; symbol of the East and representative of the Emperor and celestial power. The dragon logo emblem depicted above adorned the first of the first generation Celicas.
158,800 total Celicas were produced for production year 1982 for the Japan and international markets. There were 115,690 Toyota Celicas sold in the USA for production year 1982. This includes both the ST and GT grades combined.

Good job Amy! Every penny counts
if you got the dragon emblem for $27 each you got ripped off. The ones at toyota are the right ones. They have a picture of the part in there computer system. It's only black and white in the pic but its the part. I'd rather spend $27 for two emblems in stead of one.
the part #s is what everyone wants here...since no one here can pick up a phone and just call a dealership for the part # and their price, I will make some calls either Saturday or Monday morn to try to find out. >

While we're on the subject I need 96 97 limited edition dragon badge. If you want my opinion it looks more like a viking ship to me.
