Well today I let my sister use my car to take her driver's liscence test and when I came home just right now I was greeted to some interesting faces. I thought my sister had failed the test and I go out of my friends car to say its ok and theres next time, but it was something even more horrible. My sister said that on the last part of the test as she was making the left turn to go back to the dmv some old lady hit my car. I thought it was a joke at first, but when I went to see my car there was this gigantic indentation in the right rear quarter panal that I never remembered being there. Right now I'm angry as hell and at the same time horrified to see my baby looking like that. It really pisses me off why old people especially the person that hit my was in her 70's and rolled the stop sign. If it were up to me older people would never be able to drive!! I think they are more dangerous than teens because of their slow reflexes and HOW COULD SHE NOT SEE MY GODDAMN CAR IT WAS RIGHT THERE IN FRONT OF HER YOU HAVE TO BE BLIND %#*$#*)$#@)$(*@#()*@#)($#*. thanks for letting me vent. i took some pics and if you want to see some can someone host it?

Wow, that sux man. So were the cops called or anything? Hopefully your not stuck with the damage and can have the old persons insurance pay for a new paint job. Good luck.

what happened with the old asian people? did your sister get their insurance crap? what did they say to your sister after the accident?

unfortunately no :/ the instructor said she failed when he thought she lost control because i guess he doesnt know when you go over really bumpy pavement in the celica all the bumps are transmitted to the steering. tuesdays suck >>

Tomorrow I'm taking my car to State Farm (my insurance) so they can estimate the cost of repairs. How bad is that damage? I don't see any way to replace that panal because its like part of the roof and body?

that damage lookslike its going to be several thousand depending on where you go. some places will say "hey! we're having a rape you special! so thats gonna be 3500 bucks please!" maybe at the least 2000, hate to be a pessimist but its not gonna be cheap. >> $^$% damn old wrinkled people....ruin everything....

I dont know...I got that panel repaired for 375 bucks. but then again my dad is friends with the owner of the shop and my dent wasn't quite as bad. So just get an estimate or two and go from there.

Yup, its gonna be right around $3500. An old white guy hit mine in the exact same area. My brother worked at a collision center at that time and they gave me a qoute of about $3300. The quarterpanel is always expensive.

hopefully it didnt mess up anything under the quarter panal, i would make sure you take off the plastic on the interior of your car and make sure your speakers and stuff are fine. That is proberly gonna cost alot of money.

Seriously, old people need to be made to take a driving test like every 6 months. Some of them are just SO ridiculous. I get so pissed when some old lady cuts me off. I always want to just lay on the horn, swerve around them or just flip them off. But I know they probably wouldn't notice anyway... >>
