I dont think their goal is to outdo them it just happens because technology evolves so what they couldnt do earlier can be achieved now. It tears me in two pieces, part of me hates the unoriginal idea, part of me likes to see an old classic with current technology.

jack black's talent is so amazingly diverse, he can be a hilariously funny actor or a serious one.
his musical talent is the same way, if you listen to tenacious d he does some amazing work with the guitar and vocals, just because his songs are lyrically toilet humor doesnt mean they are musically as well.
