so tonight I finished my in-dash lcd, and my custom fiberglass glove box mounted dvd/mp3 player and my sterio.

the pix suck because there at night but when daylight hits I'll re-take them.

I know I need to vacume it now

PS: thats my new shifter knob, e-brake knob and cf looking boots





Thats a spacer I left in to make it level with the top.

I used flat black paint to do the glove box, then a high clear coat to get the right shade, I re-did it tons of times (wet-sanding and starting over) to get the right look, (kinda messed it up wile installing but it still looks good) its got about 4 coats of black (the last coat whet over the indent to soften it up) and 3 coats of clear over that.

Anyway what do ya think, as far as I know I'm the first celica with a tv in the original dinn space (its almost a perfect fit but I had to take the actulay lcd out of its frame and mount it up to fit so close, I love the sterio and dvd under the dash in my glove box space, it kinda hides them withough really hidding them.

what do I think? very nice, but now u just need a vacuum.

Isnt that goiing to be a bitchh to change stations or dvds or cds? otherwise nice for the custom.

Everything looks good. I bought that same shift knob but it looks funny with my stock boot, so I put my stock knob back on. Yours looks great with that boot, though. Where did you get it?

the dvd player is also an mp3 player so I just load an mp3 with 300 songs and I'm set for a long drive, but naw its not that hard, cant do it wile driving but I can reach over pretty easy


ebay.... yeah it looks weird because the stock boot has the ring on top, the new one does not, it just has a string to tighten it down.

I have 3 remotes, one for the dvd player, one for the sterio and one for the tv, and no, the lcd is not a touch screen, i looked into thoes but it would be useless without a dvd player that can support it.

side note: my dvd player was acting funky today on the way to work, I put a cd with 700mgs of mp3s, and it seemed to work great but I think maybe a wire crossed or something and shorted it out, then after I shut the car off, and started it again it came back on, and it seemed to get stuck on songs after it hit 50 or so.

dude!!! you stole my idea. i am going to do the exact same thing except i will be putting the deck in that area right above the glove compartment. i still want it to be accessible so that i could put all of my crap in there.

eh, I dont mind if ya follow in my footsteps, its all good, and yeah I do miss my glove box and my dinn pocket space, all I have left is the arm rest.

Could you PM me where you got the Shiftboot/E-Brake knob please..
