Alright everyone, what electronics are necessary to have with a turbocharged 7afe. If you all can let me know what I need that'd be awesome. Thanks

yea your 3sgte is cool but ill stick to my 7agte
which would be better, a 12:1 or 10:1. Also, what about the SAFCII, would that be needed and what exactly does it do?? Thanks again
s-afc is like a FMU pretty much controls fuel and air....
i'd suggest s-afc2
i'd suggest s-afc2

Better yet, get a Greddy eManage and have control over timing too! >

Thanks for the replies!! I just read up on a 12:1 fmu, and it says "This FMU allows the car to run normally on a small injector," does that mean I wouldn't need to change the injectors, or should they still be upgraded(and if so, what cc)?
-SnowMan+Jul 3, 2005 - 4:22 PM
you can run your stock to about 7 psi

I tried a 12:1 FMU with the stock injectors and I don't know if my EGT gauge was/is bad, but it would keep climbing past 1200 so I never went WOT for more than 3 seconds. Can somebody confirm this for the future 7A-FTErs?

mine was fine at WOT at 1150 to 1200 on my egt gauge on just the fmu didnt change much after the emanage but i did turn the boost up >

Um, I am going to hijack your thread. If you put 7afe and small port 4ag injectors side by side, they are almost identical. If you put the little plastic seal from the 7a injectors on the 4ag small port injectors, they bolt right onto the 7afe intake manifold.
Since the 4ag's are 256 or something cc injectors compared to the 70something cc 7a injectors, wouldn't they be great for a turbo set up?

RC 440cc injectors are ideal for the 7afte >

Yea, but you can pick up a set of red top injectors for $50 >

red tops are wat CC?
-FallenHero+Jul 6, 2005 - 12:22 PM
those would work good for 10-15 psi range on a fmu (8:1 or 10:1) but i would get some sort of a fuel controller because you'll be on the rich side
440cc are over kill on a 7afte boosting only 7-10 psi under 200 whp

I hear things about low ohm and high ohm 4ag injectors... anybody know if the 4ag small port injectors are capable of being run by a 7afe ECU?
you need HIGH impedance injectors
then we need to know what the small port injectors are. >

the 4agze injectors would be good for most any 7afe build. The ones I have will only support 200hp supposedly.
