Doesn't quite get there




And then there's that gap where the lip sticks out a bit at the top.

Any ideas on what I should do? I was thinking of cutting the wheel well sides a bit and maybe screw in from the bottom. someone suggested to heat gun the lip and then stretch it. But I dont know...

I would try to stretch it first, or if ur good w/ fg u could cut a spot and fill in as needed.

i had the same problem. I just put it on and sanded down the corner that sticks out and re-fiberglassed it to wrap around more smoothly.

Wow this like a totally missed fitted, You should call the company you got it from and asked them to send you a brand new one.

well u can't send it back, but mine also had the same problem. I just forced that bad boy on there.

thats what i did with my sides. it cracked a little when i put it in there then i put some fiberglass resin in there and called it a day

what grit sand paper did you use?

how long ago was this? Do you see any sign of the crack coming back? I read somewhere on the forum that you should drill holes at the end of the crack to keep it from getting bigger.

aite wat you do
is measure how much its off go to the back dead center add slice it down the middle get a thin piece of metal
and attach it to the back of the lip so that its held the exact measurement apart and sturdy
lay fiberglass over the gap.....

sand it down a little and smooth with bondo
sand it down and primer
sand it down and paint

Ok the best way, get a nice heat gun and heat it up and bend it to fit.

mine was kinda like that, but it was slide-on-able I tried putting it on like that, witch did not work for me, so I slid it up from the bottum and gave it a good wiggle, it aventualy got there with no problems, I would recomed trying again before any cutting or sanding.

keep in mind that its gana look shorter when its held out from the car, I would get a tape measure and check to distance from the door to the edge (pushed firmly to the car) then measure the kits inside distance to see if it really is shorter. to me it looks close enough to fit.

if u want perfect wut u need to do is exactly wut dan mentioned, i did the exact same thing with my sides and my custom rear.
