6gc is a very good handling and beatiful car - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #26957 20 posts Started by Love6GC
very stable on highway; (Better than my 4gen Camry)
can do fast turn but no much body rolling; (partly due to the comfortable seats);
spring is just good, not too stiff and not too soft;
steering feels also just ok, not too heavy and not too soft ;

Although, my ST only 110hp, each when I start at 3k+ RPM, I still get a "quick" start >smile.gif>

I like her very much.

In my opinion, handling better than the Scion tC I tested.
i love the way she handles >smile.gif>

>confused.gif> How on earth do comfortable seats stop the body from rolling?

The Euro Version, still overprized. Enough Power, i love it VERY VERY MUCH.

Yesterday i took a turn at 90 MPH, with my previous car i could not get passed 70 MPH. Okay that car was not lowered + Heavier and 2 cm less wide tires, but still.

Love the handling.

They are ridiculously good looking >tongue.gif> & I love how they handle, especially after you lower them

Out of curiosity, what would you say has very good handling?

I think the Celi handles pretty well for a sporty coupe.
very good handling = Mini Coopers, S2K.

Mini Cooper= Do you refer to the old or new mini.
Old= Very Very light. Insane small wheel base, act like a go cart. But if you mean that one u are right. Have driven it a couple of times. A 1.3 bored to 1.4 High Performance internal parts. Had about 100 BHP. That thing could keep up with me for about 60 meters. Then my engine would takeover. ONly on the straigth because in small/tight curves he would win every time!!!

New= Dont know never driven it!

S2K= Dont compare a FWD to a RWD. Because a FWD car almost always tends to understeer, and a RWD to oversteer.

JDM Powerplant installed, BPU coming very soon!
lol, s2k just has really good balance
the new MR2, the Hatchback Civics...other cars that i can see handling really well w/ little suspension work./
MacPhearson struts are hardly considered "sporty" suspension. Those who feel the Celica is a "very good handling car" are free to express their opinion... but consider most of those have never really driven a car to its peak, let alone have driven enough different types of cars to make a sound opinion. I'd say the Celica is only a "good" handling car...

i'd agree with the above. In the sense of handling within a FWD MacPherson suspended car, I will say that our celicas are quite capable vehicles. However, this has more to do with the wide for it's day tread (205/55) from the factory with the GT/Alloy wheels >rolleyes.gif> A 7th gen could run circles around our cars with its double wishbones...

EDIT- I also wonder how the SS-III's handled, seeing has they had toyota's complicated "super strut" suspention... I've heard somewhere that the super struts resemble a bagpipe to a degree >confused.gif> I've also heard that they only will last about 65 thousand miles before replacement is needed >frown.gif>

what type of suspension is it that something like the carrera GT and formula 1's run???
i know formula 1 is different because of how it's connected.

and i agree w/ Kwanza about not driving to potential >smile.gif> >smile.gif>

the super strut suspention does make a big difference on handling.....
but at near on 2.5k to replace evey 100,000km it's not that much better
for the money...........
