Underglow kits - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #27081 21 posts Started by gemStudio
Well I am interested in buying some underglow and I was wondering what the good brands are. I have heard that Streetglow is pretty good as well as Liteglow. So far I have decided to get a LED kit since neon tubes crack easily. one of my friends had neon tubes and they always got f'd up.

My Deviant Art Photography Page
ICELED is the best.
200,000,000 colors
$900 price tag.

I have Plasmaglow Fusion 7 color LED.
not bad, but the color don't blend well. u can see spots from the LEDs on the ground.
$140 price tag

Best for the price
Flowlighting Blaze.
great functions, great color blending, brighter then Streetglow and Plasmaglow.
$170 shipped

u can go to www.oznium.com and check the different UB kits there.
i get all my neons and strobes from there.

I have a streetglow gold series underbody kit that was really easy to install. I just connected the bulbs to the sub-frame underneath the car and ran the wires so they wouldnt get tangled in any moving parts. You can get the kit from cardomain.com If pics are needed i will gladly take some of where i attached them to. in addition the streetglow kit is awesome i can see the glow a good 100 yards away.

for neon, i would suggest streetglow.
for LED, i would suggest Blaze.

the LED kits are harder to wire. unlike the SG kits where u just cut and splice, the LED kits have individual wires that need to be run to the "brain" under the hood.
Sucks running a 15' wire from the rear of the car to the front.

all those kits are fine and dandy except they cost WAY to much, get some off ebay, they are only ~$45, they a pretty bright and last a long time, if u want some pics just ask.

me 2 streetglow gold series.. nice
I am just curious how they install underneath the car... and how they are protected from rocks... etc..

I would love to see some pics on how its done.. i don't think i'll get one in the next month.. but i'm curious to see how involved they are..

What is the benefits / dissadvantages to LEDs vs Neons?

i'll get u some pics, and the neons are in a strong plastic tubing, I also prefer neons over LED's simply b/c if you buy cheap set of LED's u get spots on the floor, not a constant glow.

I would make sure that you have side skirts or else the lights will more than likely show, and that's nasty.
if you go to autozone or advanced auto parts thats where i got mine they are street glow and they are led tubes. they are very bright. there good i mean mine they can change colors(can also get single color) move different ways stuff like that about $120 they were pretty easy to install if u arent me lol i am not good at that kind of **** i dont know why i am cursed. well anyways when i get mine up and running i will let you see them. anyone in georgia want to make some money?? lol

thats how i hid my neons, from cardomain, the street glow gold series packaging came with black hard plastic, i just taped that to the underbody of the car after cutting it with a table saw, neons are hidden perfectly, hella bright too, i easily have some of the best in town

thats expensive as hell lol, my golds were like 130 shipped from cardomain, i used a price match thing but even without it they were leagues cheaper than that.

oO with 250 i meant 250 installed, kit alone is like 200
i'll stick with my $45 underbody, must cheaper, and installation is a peice of cake.
