Well doesnt seem like anyone else was doing this, so I went ahead. This is what I ended up with. $35 total for both, not including clear coat which I had to spare. It sits about 1/4'' above the top of the sill, as should be pretty obvious by the pictures, but its not really noticeable unless you get down at eyelevel to look at them. Unfortunetly, to mount there on the bottom tier looks pretty bad, mostly just because of the curve shape in the sill. Door closes and opens fine.
